With the increasing usage of FPV drones in the tactical operations, DJI goggles 2 has become a popular tool with law enforcement agencies and militaries across the globe. FPV drones are now a force multiplier in small squad tactics capable of tactical reconnaissance, small scale disruption and if necessary, acting as a squad level strike package delivery method. The goggles 2 system can incorporate a multitude of O3 based software for the operator, base on the above ability, North Guard has chosen the goggles 2 system as the base blueprint to bring you a system suitable for the tactical world.
By working with different police departments and military personal, taking in their feedback on the product, CYLOPS G2 was born. One of the main complaints from the drone operators were the inability to integrate the FPV goggles into their helmet set up, CYCLOPS G2 tackles this problem directly by allowing the user to attach the system directly to mounts like L4G24, meaning operators no longer need to remove their helmet during operation. The transition between the goggles 2 and other equipment can be seamless with CYCLOPS G2, the operator can quickly detach the goggles if the tactical environment has changed and calls for other helmet mount equipment to be deployed in that moment, all of the actions can be done in a matter of seconds while maintaining comfort and head borne protection to the operator.
CYCLOPS G2 drone mount is CNC’d using Oxidized 6061 aluminium, comparing to 3D printed products it reduces the chance of losing the system through wear and durability issues. The mount weighs at only 60 grams, removing the need for dedicated counterweight. The Dovetail mount ensures positive contact when attached to L4G24 style mounts, preventing accidental detach from shock. Users can fine adjust the position of the goggles 2 via the built in nub screw on the side of the mount, additional adjustments can be achieved by utilizing the adjustment dials on the NVG mount as well, achieving max comfort for the user.
