Introducing Project ‘Leviathan’ ,our next generation night vision mounting system. With the release of North Guard CYCLOPS G2 and the FPS camera mount, there was a dire need for a new mounting system that smaller, lighter with better adjustment to replace the legacy system we have been using. After rigorous testing, ‘Leviathan’ mount was born.
‘Leviathan’ mount utilizes a skeletonized design, shaving off as much weight as possible while maintaining structure integrity. Made of the same oxidized 6061 aluminium like all other North Guard product range, making it durable and with a nice touch on the surface.
Unlike the legacy systems, ‘Leviathan’ mount is designed to accommodate a wide spectrum of tactical requirements, offering more adjustment on tilt angles and height adjustment, giving end users sufficient space to deploy in conjunction with gas masks and eye protections. In addition, ‘Leviathan’ mount weight under 95 grams compares to the 165 grams of other mounts, meaning the ‘Leviathan’ during operations will produces less drag to the front of the helmet, reducing the need of end users to compensate with additional counterweight to the back of the helmet.
When it comes to adjustment method and range. North Guard ‘Leviathan’ brings a lot of new things to the table. Unlike other legacy systems with the ‘lock and release’ design, the ‘Leviathan’ uses a slider for the PD (pupillary distance) adjustment, ensuring a much smoother single hand operation, improving end user comfort and experiences by providing better integration with other North Guard Head borne systems as well.
